Osage County Ranch Tours

Jim and I got to travel to some ranches with Okahoma Legislators last weekend and see some lovely ranches. This is the Hughes Ranch outside of Bartlesville.

Raquel

My favorite part of the ranch tour was Raquel. She had the little kids staring out the back of the bus at the kidnappers who were following us. She had made up an elaborate story. Anna and her would have a lovely time together matching wits and imaginations. Later in the day Jim found her in the back of the bus staring out crying and saying " This wonderful adventure has turned out to be a terrible nightmare." I love her.

The Big Pool

Lainey and Abby play with Jairus and Anna

When I was small this was the World's Largest Free Outdoor Concrete Swimming Pool. I believe that if it were still free we could keep this title. The new title is World's Largest Outdoor Municipal Concrete Swimming Pool. Anyway it will always be the "Big Pool". It is half a city block and holds 2.2 million gallons of water.
