Biglers
Jane Bigler(Carl's wife...link to Carl provided from our 30 yr reunion last year since he was busy being a doctor) in the woods behind their Flagstaff home. What a great place to live! We ate with the Biglers Tuesday night (their kids look just like the Bigler kids I knew 30 some years ago) but forgot to take a picture so we dropped by before we left for home. Carl and Jane hiked from the north rim of the Grand Canyon all the way to the south rim(21 miles) on the same day we did our 6 mile hike...in fact they were just one hour behind our final ascent on the same trail.
Airport Overlook Point: Our last stop in Sedona
This is the easiest Vortex point to get to around Sedona. Our Indian friend explained his rocks to us.
Day 5: Secret Canyon Trail
We didn't get to do very much of this trail because the road to get here is pretty rough...what we did see makes me want to come back.
Day 4: Doe Mesa is not my friend
So I climb up to the top of this mesa and travel the 1.3 miles around the top....at this point I am really not happy being up so high and take my last sip of water because I am going to climb down and go home...where is the path down????...help... I am hot and thirsty and going in circles for over an hour...I see two wild pigs which normally would thrill me, but my camera is full and I need to find a person who knows the way down...I guess I will make my own path...I am still pulling thorns and cactus quills out of my skin 3 days later and my legs are majorly scratched...but at least I made it.
Day 4:Fay Canyon Trail
Nice! You get to climb up to a cave, and there is a powercat rock formation at the end of the trail.
